Project Vacancy at IIT Indore

Applications are invited for highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB funded Research Project titled “Development of Hypervalent Iodine (III) Reagents Mediated Photocatalytic Si-H Functionalization and Exploration of Distal Group Migration”.

Object of the Project

The objective of the project is to design and develop visible-light photocatalytic methods for Si-H functionalization of silanes mediated by Hypervalent iodine (III) reagents towards the synthesis of organosilanes.


Master’s in Chemistry from recognized Universities/Institutes with CSIR/UGC-NET or valid GATE score. Preference will be given to the candidate with organic chemistry specialization.


The amount of JRF fellowship will be as per SERB norms.


The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to the duration of the project, solely based on performance.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by e-mail about the date of the interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview and candidates should make their own arrangements for stay.
